Independence Day Weekend

Our first {real} holiday as husband and wife! {I mean we were married through mother's day, father's day and St. Patrick's day, but since we aren't parents or Irish we didn't exactly celebrate}

Now, I thought I grew up celebrating a pretty small town 4th of July. As it would turn out, I was wrong.

Since it's much easier for us to get to Idaho for holidays to celebrate with the in-laws rather than getting to Colorado to celebrate with my family that's what we did for the 4th. We headed up to Logan, UT for the 3rd to go to Freedom Fire. {For the record, I agreed to go to this thing without knowing what it was.} The band was interesting, but the fireworks were fun! 

The 4th was full of small town fun. We had a community breakfast, a parade, puppies, and a view of fireworks on the way home. 

Now we're back in Salt Lake for the remainder of a relaxing 5 day weekend.
